Welcome

A Message from
Don Johnson - Director of Arts

The Arts are a priority at Landmark Christian School at every grade level. We believe that God has called us to develop students spiritually, intellectually, physically, and artistically. Our desire in the Fine Arts department is to send out Renaissance men and women to impact the world for Jesus Christ. All of our students are exposed to performing, visual, and media arts beginning in elementary school, all the way through high school. Whether it is art, band, chorus, theatre, guitar, photography, or praise band, every student is encouraged to develop their creativity.

The Landmark Fine Arts department is committed to providing quality instruction, engendering within the student a love and appreciation for the arts, and developing a disciplined artist in a nurturing environment where Christian values are modeled. Our goal is to provide the serious student maximum opportunity to learn and grow as well as to create an environment where students are enriched as a result of their exposure to the arts.

In art, we are once again able to do all the things we have forgotten; we are able to walk on water; we speak to angels who call us; we move, unfettered, among the stars. We write, we make music, we draw pictures because we are listening for meaning, feeling for healing. And during the writing of the story, or the painting, or the composing or singing or playing, we are returned to the open creativity which was ours when we were children.
We cannot be mature artists if we have lost the ability to believe which we had as children.
An artist at work is in a condition of complete and total faith.
