Statement of Faith

Landmark Christian School: Statement of Faith

Every Student Prepared to Impact the World for Jesus Christ

At Landmark Christian School, we believe God has designed each student with a unique purpose. In partnership with Christian families, we steward the precious time students spend with us to help them grow in Christ, excel academically, and develop as servant leaders. Through intentional discipleship, exceptional academics, championship athletics, and the arts, our students discover and develop the gifts God has prepared in advance for them, so they can impact the world for Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

EVERY STUDENT

Made in God’s image, known by Him, created for purpose.

We believe every student is made by God, loved by God, and invited into His story. From the very beginning, God created people in His image. That means every student, regardless of background, race, or ability, has unmatched dignity, inherent value, and a calling on their life.

Genesis 1:27: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Psalm 139:13–14: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

We believe in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternal and unchanging, full of power and grace. He is the Creator of all things, the Author of life, and the Lord of history.

Deuteronomy 6:4: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

Malachi 3:6: “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.”

Matthew 28:19: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a perfect life, died a sacrificial death on the cross, and rose again on the third day. He is the only way to salvation.

1 John 14:6: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”

Romans 10:9: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

1 Peter 2:24: “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed.”

PREPARED TO IMPACT

Faith is built with intention.

We believe the Christian life begins with salvation by grace through faith and continues as a lifelong journey of growth. Every student is called to be formed in Christ – mind, body, heart, and soul.

Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, trustworthy Word. It is without error in its original form and is our ultimate authority in all matters of life and faith.

2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

We believe that following Jesus means loving our neighbor with intentionality and humility. As Christ taught, we are called to treat everyone with compassion, grace, and selflessness. This love is not just an idea; it is expressed in action, forgiveness, and service.

Luke 10:27 – “He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Philippians 2:3-4 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

John 15:13 – “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

1 Corinthians 13:13 – “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Revelation 7:9 – “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”

We believe that parents, guardians, teachers, mentors, and coaches are called to model and multiply the life of Christ in students. Preparing students to impact the world is a shared calling.

Proverbs 22:6: “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

Titus 2:7-8: “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned…”

Deuteronomy 6:6-7: “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…”

THE WORLD FOR JESUS CHRIST

On Mission, living today in light of the Kingdom to come.

We believe that every follower of Jesus is called to join God’s mission in the world. Students are not only called to grow in their faith; they’re sent to be Kingdom witnesses in every sphere of life.

Matthew 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Colossians 3:17: “And whatever you do… do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

We believe in the coming Kingdom and the hope of eternity. One day Jesus will return to make all things new. Until then, we live as citizens of heaven, seeking first His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Revelation 21:5: “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!'”

Matthew 6:10: “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Hebrews 13:14: “For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.”

We believe in the return of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment. Every student is invited into the joy of eternal life and commissioned to help others know that joy too.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven… and so we will be with the Lord forever.”

Philippians 3:20-21: “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ…”
